Around here if you are single and have a dog, the doggie walk park is a great place to meet other singles. Sounds strange I know.

I agree with the dog idea. You meet people every day like that and have something to approach and talk to people about.
I you don't have a dog or want one maybe there is someone you know who has a dog you can "borrow".
