I have never used EFT, but I do have a great deal of experience with the human energy field and with Oriental Medicine, which includes working with the accupuncture meridians etc.. .. I can tell you without any doubt that the human energy system is very real and is in fact an energetic map of the human psyche. This is why the physical body is in truth a physical expression of the mind. When you touch someones body, you are in fact touching that persons mind. Western culture (through the development of scientific thinking, which views the world through an entirely "objective" view), .. has separated the mind and body into the brain and the body. ... But in truth, the mind is not the brain. The mind is an energy field that both surrounds and permeates the body. The meridians and points that are identified in Oriental medicine, are one detail in the manifestation of the bodymind that in turn gives rise to the physical structure that is the body. ......... The brain is merely a "transciever" between the mind and the body. ... I can promise you that when western science and medicine begins to realise and understand this,.. the field of medicine will finally begin to arrive at the understanding required to truly heal people,.... rather than merely subdue or allay symptoms,.. which is what is being done now.
.... EFT's principal's are sound. I know this from direct experience with a number of forms of body-work over the past 30 years. There are many forms of bodywork available which will work to clear the "abberations" from the unconscious. EFT is simply one more modality that is available. ... Some of the earlier available forms of such work were more physical in terms of process. ... Examples include the likes of "Rolphing",.. "Zen Therapy",... "Feldenkraise",... "Network Care"... even Hatha Yoga is a system (an ancient system), which is designed to clear the abberations from the body/mind or the unconscious.

You would do well to explore EFT and give it a substantial chance to help you. All diseasement is rooted in repressed trauma's that are stored within the unconscious,.. which is the body/mind. ... To clear these trauma's is to clear that which gives rise to disease.

I have used Donna Eden's book on the subject to keep my ME at bay. I use it in conjunction with reflexology. Her book is called Energy Medicine. Don't be put off by the language and illustrations of maniacally grinning people, it is good.
The upside is that you can't possibly do any harm to yourself with the techniques described i the book, nor do you need to go to an expensive practitioner..
