He was, inevitably, a smart man! Without the care to learn from anyone else but himself , thus, his work was done by the powers of his very own will and mind. We obviously can not dispute the fact that he was, like you said, "a great man". However, was he a genius; I do not have the proper amount, nor fathom that anyone else does, of knowledge to actually call hime a genius or not. This is not about courage, just knowledge, and all I know is that he created a lot without learning from anyone else but from his own brainy ideas. Besides, a "genius" to me is someone who has the highest IQ... so whether he is a genius or not, doesn't matter. No one is "smarter". Though, by applying his intelligence to create... is why everyone calls him "genius".

Yep he was not that a great, Albert. I used to think like most others until I found that he actually copied most of his relativity theory on Poincarée's philosphy. Poincaré theory was published 2 months before Einstein's but it was disregared in favour of germano-autrician loby. (Sorry for the fans...)
He was a good scientist though (he discovered photoelectric effect).

Ps. Why the hell do we have to be antisemit if we critisize Einstein. We gave an opion on a person's reflection and not on his religion. The simple fact that some concider the act antisemitic shows that THEY are the ones who are racist (concider people according to thier race in disfavour of their individuality)

Not only was he a genius, he was divinely inspired. Too bad more scientists can't seem to grasp the "Infinite Intelligence" as well as Einstein.

'Nuff said?

It's pretty much an undisputed fact, unless you are talking to an anti-semite.
