You have 50,000 + miles on a 2005 Focus!!!!!!!
Sounds to me like you drive ALOT.
Spark plugs on Focus are platinum & should not need replacement 'till 100,000 miles
Your Focus has a 100,000 mile powertrain warranty.
1st make sure you are not carrying extra weight (unnessessary 'junk in the trunk')
Make sure your tire pressure is correct & that your maintenance is up to date (oil changes & filters)
I think you're just driving alot, your vehicle is less than 2 years old & you have more than 50,000 miles on it!!!!!!
You can find tips on how to get better gas mileage at:
http://www.fueleconomy.gov
You only have a 14 gallon capacity fuel tank, & your fuel pump (located inside the fuel tank) takes up about 1-1 1/2 gallonsof space.
With the amount of miles you are driving you could easily use more than half a tank within 2-3 days.
If you take it to a Ford dealer & there is some thing wrong with it , it is covered by your warranty, however if there is nothing wrong you will be charged for diagnostics.

First, check your miles per gallon. Fill your tank and write down the odometer reading. Drive out about half the tank. Read your odometer again and refill the tank. Divide the number of miles driven by the number of gallons used. If you are not getting at least somewhere near 30 mpg then something is wrong. You can look on the internet to find how many mpg you should be getting for your particular make and model of auto. If you are not, then get it to a shop for a complete check-up/tune-up. To help with improving mpg make sure all 4 tires have the proper air pressure. Make sure your ar filter is clean and drive at a moderate speed. (no faster than 65 miles per hour.) This should all help.

How many miles to the gallon are you getting? I've found I get anywhere from 25 to 33 mpg in mine, depending on what sort of driving I do. If your mileage is lower than 25, you may very well have something wrong with the car. This may be something as simple as underinflated tires. Or it may be something that will take a mechanic to diagnose. Check to be sure the tires are correctly inflated and you have kept current on the maintenance. If there are no obvious problems, take it to a mechanic.

A focus should be getting ok mpg, change the oil and air filter and get a tune up. Also check you tire pressure if a tire is under inflated it will drag the car down so one would need to use more gas.

it would want to be sturdy to carry close what number miles in holding with gallon you have become. Fill the tank back and record the mileage on your odometer. Thenchronic the motorized vehicle for a week. Fill it back and be conscious the mileage. Divide the entire mileage for the week through the shape of gallons that you're utilising. then you receives a more desirable comprehensive representation of what your miles in holding with gallon is. Your automobile is one 3 hundred and sixty 5 days old and already has 50,000 miles on it? Wow! if it quite is the case, you carry out slightly heavy driving!!! have you ever replaced your air filter out yet?

how many mpg r u getting? 30 is about right. Tire pressure. Do you change oil every 5000 miles? Plugs and wires might help. Put in a can of fule injector cleaner. New air filter will help..

it could be many things.
1.air pressure(make sure tires are properly inflated)
2. fuel filter partially clogged.
3.you may be running with a bad spark plug(fuel goes in, but no spark, so you waste gas faster and the engine has to work harder)
4.clogged fuel injector, get fuel injector cleaner(about 2 dollars per bottle)
5. if your check engine light is on, takeyour car to autozone to get it read, its free!(mechanics charge like 75 bucks! bastards!)

I bet your tire pressure is low. It should be at 35psi. When your tire pressure is low your car will eat gas like a hippo.
