How to increase size of slides in MS Powerpoint handouts?

If I select 4 slides or 6 on a page, the size of the slide does not change. And there is a lot of space available on the page.

Unfortunately there is no setting in Powerpoint to change the image size on handouts.

If you copy and paste each slide into a Word document you will be able to resize them as you wish,
