when silver is work hardened it requires heating to soften to prevent cracking. this process leaves a fire stain in the silver, the only way to remove the fire stain is to use a solution of sulphuric acid and water or what is more commonly known to silversmiths... a pickle or pickle vat..

its not silver pickle its silver skinned pickled onions..get them in any supermarket..and put lumps of heese on a stick with an onion..
