Chennamma. Many people like Ali (first answerer) don't know about her much. Its but natural. Lakshmibai hailed from the northern part of India and thus got more publicity among the Hindi people and then the Indians. But I feel that Chennamma was better. Lakshmibai atlast lost. But she didn't lose. The then Mughal prince nearly escaped a huge defeat from the queen's meagre army. She DEFEATED them!
