This quote appears to accuse king Philippos of Macedonia as a non-Greek. However the majority of today's historians ascribe these claims to the political differences between Dimosthenis and King Philippos. It is well known that Dimosthenis as a passionate supporter of the Athenian democracy was very concerned about the rise of the Macedonan kingdom.

"Demosthenes' allegations were lent an appearance of credibility by the fact apparent to every observer, that the lifestyle of the Macedonians was different from that of a Greek city state. This alien way of life was however, common to the western Greeks in Epeiros, Akarnania and Aitolia, as well as to the Macedonians, and their fundenmental Greek nationality was never doubted. Only as a consequencce of the political disagreement with Macedonia was the question ever raised at all."

Philippe the III, son of Alexandre the II and father of Alexandre the III (Alexandre the Great!)
He took the throne overpassing the legitimate kings! He studied strategy in Thebes by the great general Epameinondas.
Philip was the first to establish real army, by professional soldiers, organized the army such that the Romans copied his renovations. Also, He made the highways in the Hellenic Peninsula (Balkans), which are still used today!
He was a great manager, diplomat, general!
He divided the enemies into 3 categories: weaker (which he smashed, in order for the other to fear him), the equal, whom he was buying (like the USA is doing now) and the strong (with whom he was getting married (he had 8 wives!)

Philip of Macedonia conquered most of Greece, and was the father of Alexander the Great. He considered Alexander to be a "sissy" despite Alexander's skill on the battlefield, because he was well-educated and possibly homosexual. Later,l he divorced Alexander's wife and remarried a Macedonian woman. He had a son by her, and since he was full-blooded Macedonian, while Alexander was not, the baby would have inherited the throne. Not long after, Philip was killed on the battlefield by another Macedonian, and his killer was in turn killed by friends of Alexander, which led to rumors that Alexander himself planned the murder. Not long after, Philip's second wife and baby were killed, possibly by either Alexander or his mother.
