Dear friend, I use to visit India from United States every 1 month and generally I use to deposit in ICICI Bank. U should bring Dollars! So go for ICICI Bank..its the Best! Trust me!

I suggest you to use ICICI Bank. They provide online fund transfer, currency conversion at prevelent market rates and its all very transparent. You can track your cash/funds at each step and it would get transfered very simply.

Do they take "VISA"? lol, when I have traveled to other countries, I just used my VISA Card. VISA will usually do the currency conversions free. Keep your money in a Swiss Bank.

I wouldn't trust any of those money thieving bastards in India. Leave it at home is the best bet.

i think SBI , HDFC ,ICICI
U SHOULD bring dollars cash coz it can be easily transfered to indian currency
