I reckon they shouldn't ban it, it would lead to many medical breakthroughs!

I mean come on, if they ban it, it would cost the lives and health of millions of people, who have a serious illness, do you think that is fair?

The possibility of a person suffering from a paralysis after stem cell treatment, could be minimsed to almost nil, so no problems, we could find away to prevent this.

Absolutely. There aren't even any ethical problems, when you consider that many extra fertilized embryos already exist to help couples who had trouble having a baby. When the couples succeed in having children, the extra embryos are just stored until they break down or get thrown away. It would be much better to use them to see if we can cure terrible diseases.

Stem cell research? Yes!!! Using embryonic stem cells? No!!! An embryo is a new life. If it were inside a woman's uterus it would develop into a baby. A new human. Would you kill this new person just so that another could live? No, you wouldn't.
There are other sources for stem cells other than those that can be created using an embryo. These sources such as from adults need to be researched.
There have been no cures of any diseases anywhere using stem cells. These are only theories. They have yet to be proven.

Yes because of the medical breakthroughs. In Germany, they regrew a jaw for a man who had lost his jaw. They used embryonic stem cells to grow the jaw on his back, and eventually attached it. Also, those embroyinc stem cells would have been discarded anyway.

I agree with what you said regarding the medical breakthroughs.
But I don't like the research. I wish I didn't know about it. It's like
I want the benefits from the research but I don't want the actual
research. I realize I sound stupid.
I want to help people, but I am not for Stem Cell.

yes it should. if the mother is willing to give up a life that might destroy hers forever, then let her! in my opinion, using embryonic stem cells is just like another form of abortion.

Of course. It's only Americans that have a hangup about it anyway -- the rest of the world is busy learning.
