Whether they choose to accept your resignation or not if you issue them with the appropriate amount of statutory notice (see section 89 Employment Rights Act 1989) then the employment contract is ended.

Do you live in the UK? If so, submit a written request to the company data controller asking for a copy of ALL files that they hold on you as an employee. This often makes interesting reading. They can also be fined quite heavily for with-holding info. Of course ther are get outs and exceptions for employers. Check out the Data Protection Act on the government web site.

If you work for a large corporation or a size-able company they will most probably employ a P R representative, so pay a visit and ask what your position is. What is puzzling, why the investigation? have you committed an offence or misbehaved in any way.

Eh? How can they not accept your resignation? Are you The Prisoner or something?! Just hand in your notice and don't turn up for work once your notice period is up. Check your contract.

You may be innocent of whatever you are being investigated for, but this sounds suspicious on your part. Why?
because it seems to me you would have a clue as to what you are being investigated for.

did you just walk, if you did they can get you... you have to give a notice period, as agreed in your initial contract, eg 1 month.

If they have said not accepted, just write them a letter saying that you dont accept that.......... this normally messes up most hr departments.. as if they can not accept... you must be able to as well... i might include in that that you will consider any further non acceptance as harrasment.

Fcuk them. Just get another job and don't use them as a reference. If you don't tell them where you work they cannot interfere with it can they?
