Do not disturd them as they will eat the babies. I presume they are Russian Hamsters and not Syrian, If they are Syrian then they should be alone and not housed in pairs.
Care sheets are available on my web site for free

Why are you letting your hamsters breed? You need to separate the males from the females as soon as possible. Basically, you just need to leave the mommy hamsters alone and don't touch the babies unless you must. The reason most hamsters kill their babies is because of stress, so try to make things as normal and quiet as possible. Don't bother the cage, don't play any loud music, any thing like that. The mothers will usually raise the babies themselves just fine, so as long as you keep an eye on them they should be fine. When the babies are eating on their own for about a week you can separate them from the mom. At this time you will need to separate the males and females because they can breed at about four weeks. You can leave the females with the mother a while longer if you like. Do your best to find good homes for the babies. Don't give them to anyone who will feed them to snakes. If you can't find homes for them, you can find a small animal rescue at Petfinder.com that might be able to take them. And please, don't breed your hamsters any more. Rescues are full of hamsters who need homes, so its really not necessary.

If you got close to your hamster, or you touched her babies that's probably why she ate them. Make sure both of your mother hamsters are NOT together. Let the mother take care of its young. You don't need to do anything. When the babies are two weeks old, start separating them in different cages or it could get violent. Start selling some of the baby hamsters you don't want to keep.

Well, after you deal with the babies, and I am not quite sure how to do this, but I would think you would be better off reading up on the subject than just asking a pet shop employee about it. I have found that few people that work at pet shops really know much about the details of the animals they take care of since they do not really need to since it is just a temporary home for these animals. You should definatley learn the sex of your pets and prevent further unplanned births.

I know my hamsters ate their young when I will young too. I guess it's pretty common for the first litter of offspring. I would call a pet store they know way more on this topic. Unless you want to start eating them... you are going to have a lot of hamsters on your hands pretty quick here. Call a Petsmart!

Wow, that's a lot of hamsters.

Mother hamsters may eat their babies when they are inexperienced.
They may also kill the young if they are sick.
Sometimes they kill if the litter is too big.
They can also kill if the mother is ill.

This says to leave her alone and to feed her foods high in protein (cheese and scrambled eggs).

Good luck!

this is completely discover to deal with the infants at this element, incredibly if your hamster knows you. in basic terms be constructive to bathe your palms nicely and rub them in the bedding somewhat previously touching her infants. i don't comprehend why this individual retains going around telling people they might't touch the infants for seven weeks, this is nonsense. this isn't any longer even a good element to do!

She probably is not eating them. She may be just putting them in her sack for protection. Call the local pet shop.
