when i tested it with a program it come up as 'your system is equipped with multi core processers, however support is not enabled in your os and/or bios' i had a look at the bois but there is nowhere to change anything about that i have a asus a8n-sli deluxe motherboard. please help

download a new bios definition, but be careful because maybe cause very serious problem if u going to use the wrong one

I answered your other question about how to update the BIOS before seeing this one.

The board was made specifically to support Athlon 64 dual core processors. How could it not have a BIOS that supports your CPU?

The problem is almost certainly in the OS.

The first thing you need to do is look up the specs on your mobo to see if it supports the duo core processor, then make sure you've got the correct bois/ and or bios settngs so that it can use the processor correctly...Go to the Asus site for support on your mobo to find this out...
