I hate to agree with you, but between the constant wars and all the other violence you have to feel that way. Why can't we all just behave and get along.

The world is better off now than it has ever been. The average lifespan is longer, most people are healthy, the poor are mostly being helped, rich folks like Gates are trying to help them out more, the economy is going ok, most people are generally polite and tolerant. Dont live under the false assumption that everyone was perfect at one time and it's only been getting worse ever since.

You watch too much TV News & read bad things. The world has always been bad, it's like the weather. It's the most popular places which gets all FRONT page news! If Hollywood would fart, it's front page news right away. If the President don't do anything it's bad news! Use common sense for safety and read the Bible.

I would feel very bleak if it were not for the predictions and promises in the Bible. You are correct though. The morals of individuals are degrading and the wars are getting more widespread and the participants don't have any regard for standards of behavior.
During WWII we used the Atom Bomb on the Japanese because similarly, they felt religiously obligated to fight for their god (in the case of the Japanese, their emperor). It would have been much more costly in terms of human life to continue fighting the Japanese with conventional weapons and would have dragged on for years and years.

There is always a war going on somewhere.. Usually its the Republicans and Christian extremist's who are the first to declare it is WW3 or Armageddon. Sadly, i think they want it to happen..
