just curious
Have you ever seen the 1933 version?
Have you seen the 1976 version with Jeff Bridges?
First of all.
Oh i love this comment by someone a minute ago.. that they niked it from the original... well duh ITS A REMAKE OF THE 1933 version.
Most people thought this was gonna be a new Modern remake of the original..
That had never been the plan. The reason it was so long, was that they were trying (and as far as i can tell did) to make a total copy of the 1933 KING KONG.
They went to such an extent, that they borrowed original props from the 1933 movie, all though i couldnt tell you what and where in the film they were used.
I have seen all 3 and besides being in color (kind of surprised they didnt put it in black and white) i would say the new one is the best one ever.
It was a perfect story line.
I remember someone asking on here right after it came out, why the girl lived. I had to laugh at them because it was obvious that they didnt know **** about the KONG story line.

It had some impressive scenes in it.
I can't understand why they made a copy of the original tho?
With all that computer technology why didn't they make a different story? Peter Jackson would have done a nice job. And it could have left an opening for a possible sequel.
I think Jackson should do an update of the 1956 movie 'Forbidden Planet'.

The only bit that I liked was when Kong was fighting the T-Rex's. I actually found the film to be quite boring.

I said Jackson's remake very last nighttime. i ought to admit, I wasn't inspired. To my concepts, it became overlong- too many of the movie became committed to the jungle scenes. each and every now and back you may want to work out a spark of Jackson's expertise. The sweeping digicam flow over the natives' village into the jungle; the actual undeniable reality that the jungle has overgrown what appears a city the natives must have abandoned. those educate interest to ingredient. even if the final tale is too short to be stretched to the type of lengthy playing time. Realistically the finished tale might want to be summarised in less than a paragraph. The over-appearing of the major gamers became unlucky, yet to be predicted. i assume appearing in a eco-friendly room makes it not user-friendly to good emote. it truly is only a shame that the danger to make this movie became the reason Jackson were given into the movie agency!

nope it was awesome, cynics just say it was crap because they think its cool to do so and can't fault it. presumably your refering to the scenes with kong and the girl bonding on the cliff top, well apart from that the movie has AWESOME action. The bonding scenes are absolutrely essential to the plot and breaks the film up so that its not a pish non stop action movie which i usually tire of, as they become exhausting to watch.
King Kong is one of the best blockbuster movies for ages, I love it.

I find interesting things in all movies no matter how bad or how good. I look at the scenery I look at the buildings and the sets, I take in everything I see in the movie, that way if the movie doesn't "move" me I don't feel a total loss for watching it.

Not boring — GREAT !!! And frightening.
I mean the old one from 1933. But the last one
was also very good... as a movie from our time.
But U have to see the last one on the big screen.
