What's the deal with bulls and the color RED?

Actually, nothing. Bulls are colorblind. They see a dark shade of grey. The bulls used in bullfighting are bred to be aggressive. The most aggressive bulls are chosen to be used in bullfighting. One side of the cape is red, so as not to show any blood, and the other side is yellow, just to make it more decorative. The bull will also charge the yellow side. I hope this helps.

I think that I read somewhere, that bulls can't really see the color red...they're intimidated by the movement of the cloth,I think they use red because it is a flashy color for the human eye,and after all the bull isn't being entertained at all, it's all about the human!

Considering I've worked with the bulls dressed in bright red shirts, it's not that fact that it's red that bothers them. That is just the traditional color. They just HATE that it flutters and moves. We have a very docile bull but he threw a complete fit when there was a plastic bag fluttering around but he has never attacked me or anything when I'm dressed in red.

Bulls like many male herd animals are the protectors of the herd. The color red is the color of blood, when they see it, it triggers the fight / protect impulse. Bull fighters waving it around agitates them and of course by the time the cape comes out the bull has already been stabbed and he smells his own blood.

I have heard of a study that (I think this is what it said) that bulls can't even see reds that well. Marco is right....it's the movement that causes them to charge a red cape. I really haven't heard of them going nuts over anything that was red.

definite i imagine its a Label to tear-off human beings into procuring poorly bred canines. there is so commercials in my section saying pink nostril or blue nostril pits. there is easily those who're breeding them for basically the nostril colour, My neighbor is going through quite a few pit bulls (properly no longer fairly my neighbor down the line yet its the nearest individual to me lol) They actually have a clean male pit evey few weeks & the different dissappears! (genuinely they offered a clean one the day exceeded by) yet they purchase them as a results of nostril colour! they fairly bred a "pink nostril" & "blue nostril" pit togeather get both nostril colorings. Im no longer fairly an authority on pits yet i visit inform you i havent considered many pits without both a pink or blue nostril. and that i have not considered 2 pits that appear like same breed in my section both i imagine maximum of them are literally not organic bred canines. My associates canines are literally not yet they positive do promote alot of pups a minimum of they should be promoting them because they'll purchase a lady & a male breed them the male dissappears the female continues to be they get a clean male save it then they have a clutter of domestic dogs operating round then they're all lengthy gone & the female is lengthy gone then they get a clean woman & do an same aspect back! so that they should be promoting then & they have commercials in the paper with thir volume saying blue & pink nostril pit pups!

Well i think bulls don like the red and when they see it they get crazy and sometin elese i think its like red coloor is like a chocolate for bulls when you eatchoclotae you get crazy thats what happens to my lil cousine
