Almost anything that could relate to the job. No medical info or iems relating to religion.

Background checks are expensive and the company will do as little as needed. It all depends on the job that you will be doing.

Depending on how thorough the company is they will do a credit check, they'll do a background check (checking past employers) and they may do a security check which would have all tickets and anything like a DUI on there. My personal take is to fess up to the bad credit problem right up front (not RIGHT UP FRONT but when you get a sense that you're actually going to be considered seriously for the job) and say what is closest to the truth: you were irresponsibe years before but you're working on clearign that up or your significant other had you credit cards bought all this stuff left you with the bills and you didn't even know about them until they had gone on to your credit report. WHatever works for you, and really for that reason,(that most people can come up with a good story as to why their credit is bad) the credit checks are something that's done to weed out the iffy people. If they want you they will give you a lot of leeway with the credit. The breathalyser is a problem, unless you have a friend who works at that company still and can vouch for you, then you can skate around that. Good luck!
