Try http://www.fool.co.uk for free advice on how to look after your money better, including price comparisons + it's US counterpart http://www.fool.com (which is American, but gives advice that's good no matter where you are).

http://www.ciao.co.uk/reg.php?AffiliateId=5613249 - Pays out money for doing Surveys, doing product reviews on their site + referring new members. In 7 years of surfing the internet & placing banner adverts on my websites, that's the only place that's actually paid me anything... apart from a few 50p wins in the early days of online lottery http://www.bananalotto.co.uk

New PC games may be out of reach, but you can still mess about with the DEMO versions, which you can download from http://www.gamespot.com
I've found computer games & Screensavers are GREAT for keeping small kids quiet..... they'll stare at the screen in amazement for ages.... I find the "Underwater" screensaver shipped with Windows '98SE/ME is particularly good for this.

http://www.freebiersclub.co.uk/

http://www.yougov.com/ - pays you a small fee for doing surveys

Assuming your in the UK..... get a BOOTS Advantage rewards card from http://www.boots.com/microsites/microsite_homepage.jsp?contentId=2915&wblinktype=TN - each time you buy something from their high street stores, you get reward points you can redeem later. I'm already up to about £0.90 worth after only buying:
2x rolls of Christmas Wrapping paper
2x packs of AAA batteries
2x rolls of camera film
3x packets of cough sweets
+ a bottle of aftershave my Dad gave me the money to buy for him while I was in town.

If you've been screwed with bank or credit card charges by a UK bank, this site will give you free advice on how to get a refund:
http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk
Worked pretty well...... NatWest Bank screwed me out of £260 in charges last year.... used the advice from this site..... settled for a £196 refund a couple of months ago :D

What a cheep skate :P Good question though mate

Ummmmm, im not sure to be honest. I would guess its more likey that you would get the money to buy the things off the internet, rather than them been given to you for free!

Try family and friends though.

freebies.com or allfreesamples.com, or you just could go to Yahoo and type in free and then whatever you are looking for. Usually free samples will be sent out by all kinds of companies in limited quantities. I have recieved cologne, toothpaste, hand sanitizer, tylenol, advil, room deodorizer and numerous other things through this method.

I subscribed to the email alerts you get samples and give away offers, but not direct from the companies just a list then you choose what you want to do.

If you're in the UK, the best place to look is right here on Yahoo at http://uk.dir.yahoo.com/Regional/Countries/United_Kingdom/Business_and_Economy/Shopping_and_Services/Free_Stuff/

Hope you find lots for the new family addition!
