It's only pens that have the metal cartridge inside.. the higher end pens... because they are sealed, they have a specific pressure and when you go up in a plane the pressure changes and could cause the ink cartridge to burst, getting it all over your shirt.
Regular Bic type pens that have the ink in the plastic tubes don't pose the same problems.

It getting to the point where you might have to board planes naked. Just about everything under the sun is "outlawed", and cannot be carried on board.

bacuse u may use it to make a bomb or kill the pilot - choose your way. if u have it with u, they surely take it away at the airport.
