What features do you look for when purchasing a big screen tv?

Question

I would like to get a 50 or 52 inch big screen but I'm not sure what all I should be checking out. Can someone give me some pointers? Thanks

I don't know much of this, but my mother bought a tv online and it sucked. the pprice was decent, but the picture was grainy. When buying something you watch, it's only logical to see it first. go to a department store to see what you like before you get anything.

look at the DLP's they are brighter, clearer and don't fade as you go from side to side. also stick to widescreen as movies and hidef are in that format. Also, plasmas have come way down in price and last alot longer than first generation models that lasted about 4 years. they have the best picture of them all.

LCD, HDTV,I personally like Sony brand those TVS are very reliable and best quality and thats pretty all that I look at I aint that picky

lcd is a reveal style. LED is how/the placement the lcd reveal gets its gentle grant from. that's common as LED lower back-lit. the nicely-known variety of lcd video reveal is lower back-lit via skill of a florescent bulb, the LED video reveal instruments are lit via tiny LED lighting fixtures fixtures.
