Because it means they can drop out of school, get a free house and live off the taxpayers. Who wants to work when you can just pop out a sprog and get everything for free. Something like 1 in 5 teen pregnancies are planned.

Kids grow up watching "soap operas", seeing sexually suggestive pictures on magazines at the check out lane in the grocery store while they sit in the cart waiting to be checked out. Children are bombarded with images and suggestive promiscuity from a tender age.
Then as teens they watch shows like Seinfeld and Friends and they think that is a normal way to live. You like somebody, hop into bed. That's depicted as the romantic thing to do.
The guilt and shame of such behavior is being stripped away and so there is less deterrent then when I was a kid. If they don't have strong moral teaching from parents, teachers, and other adult figures what guidance do they have other than their basic instincts to procreate?

It is more culturally acceptable to be sexual at a young age because of modern television and music and movies and magazines. It really does influence people.
Poorly.
If the entire world becomes as money driven, angry, lost, jealous, conceited, and stupid as Hollywood and the people that work for it to, we are in for a grave future.

becuse there are too many fundamentalists who are afraid to teach real sex education in school. Abstinence as the only means of birth control is idiotic. We need to teach preteens & teens about sex, birth control, parenting, home economics, and real life. Also, we need to remind our children that just because things happen on tv doesn't mean it's right for them.

because there is so much unsafe teenage sex...thank god it's only mostly pregnancies for now...if it doesn't stop it'll be high high numbers of aids patients......I blame lack of education as one of the primary factors.

Because Movies, TV, music videos, all promote sex. Where are all the examples for young people to know it is wrong? Sex is not a casual thing to be taken lightly.

because there are too many stupid little girls who believe when their "experimented" boyfriend tells them that the condom has no effect and that he feels better without it....or that he will be carefull....lol.....and because to make sex at an earlier age is now a "cool" thing...
