Is it possible to make a hologram soild to the point that it can be simulated to be able to affect real world objects.

Or is this the stuff of fiction and sat morning cartoon villians.

Of course not. A hologram is a by-product of light being refracted in a certain pattern when it bounces off of a certain material. Solid things are solid. Light is not solid.

A hologram is a projection of varied light. Light travels in particles and is always moving, no matter what. For something to be a solid it needs to be kinda stationary. Therefore it cannot and will not ever happen.

But light already affects real world objects. Ultra voilet can give you one hell of a burn.
