'Wishy-washy liberalism'? 'Disadvantaged against non-indigenous people'?!? Tell that to the asylum-seekers living in run-down flats on £30 a week. Looks like some Scottish and British people are *very* racist.
Some Scottish people are anti-English - I know at my school English pupils/teachers had a very tough time - because of the stereotype of English people as being rich, snobbish etc. This will continue until people realise that the problem isn't to do with people's ethnicity but the economic-political system which perpetrates these inequalities on all of us, regardless of our 'colour.'

Oh, I can cite several examples of Scottish hatred for English people. It's extreme in some cases, and were the situations reversed, there would have been questions asked in Parliament. But that's just lunatics - most Scots, like most English, are above that sort of nonsense. I've found football fans - on both sides of the border - to be the worst offenders. But then again, a sizeable minority of football fans are low IQ cretins. I'm a quarter Scottish by the way with family still north of the border.

I've only ever found Scots to be polite, welcoming and friendly people, I've never come across any racists, but that's not to say there aren't any. I was born in London and now live in Ireland. I've experienced racism in both England and Ireland, it's prevalent anywhere you go, but I wouldn't generalise by saying all English or all Irish people are racists. Every culture has a group of ignorant people who wouldn't know their nose from their ****, if you're on the receiving end of racism, ignore it, feeling safe in the fact that the person dealing it out is a complete moron.

I am Scottish & I am most certainly not racist.
I think it is very unfair of you to use the words "Scottish People" in this manner. We are all individuals, with individual thoughts & deeds. There are obviously some Scottish racists just as there are racists of EVERY other nationality in the world.
For example, you are speading racist ideas in stating that all Scottish people are racists.

There are racists among all the worlds people. In Scotland you are more likely to suffer from religious sectarianism rather than racism, although I would not rule it out. As an example there are several places within the city of Glasgow that are Protestant areas and several that are Catholic, the religions do not normally mix, it is very noticeable within the football supporters, Catholics support Celtic and Protestants support Rangers.
Scotland is a beautiful country, I grew up there in the sixties and suffered as a child because of my religious background. I go home from time to time and whist the religious divide does not affect me directly, much of my family are still acutely aware of the differences.

I hope so. Their strength of character is inherently a no nonsense view that the rest of Brits could well do with learning, instead of this wishy-washy liberalism that is ruining what once was a great country. I am a minority person who abhors weakness. Today it seems to be a virtue. Witness those blubbin foolson BB and at times on the football field.

my grandad was a Scot, he hailed from glasgow in 1920 something... he was a lot of things, but he was no more racist than the English, the Irish or the Welsh.
maybe youre mistaking racism for being pissed off the way their govt (Scotland has its own parliament and isnt governed outright from whitehall) is giving everything to the refugees and asylum seekers, and leaving its own, indigenous population in squalor and poverty. thats not racism. thats just being pissed off at teh inequalities created by a PC system staffed by wet liberals, who "want to do teh right thing" which is a good thing, but not if it sets neighbour against neighbour, community against community, because down that road lives civil unrest, which will escalate into ethnic cleansing.
Brits by and large are quite tolerant people, what they wont put up with or tolerate is a two tier system which disadvantages them against non indigenous folks. and because im white, English and living in England today, i am an ethnic minority. and, sooner or later, the people will get fed up with it, and the bloodbath that will follow will make the balkans look like a dress rehearsal.

That's like saying; do English people have blonde hair? Some do, some don't. Some have dyed blonde hair, other are dirty fair. So some Scottish may be racist, others not, some just a little, some pretend not to be etc....

i am Scottish and am tolerant of everyone
my children's school is multi racial/denominational and has actually won awards on their efforts to welcome people from every culture
there are of course a small minority who I'm sure are racist , but that is everywhere not just in Scotland
the vast majority of people i know are very loving and accepting of everyone
i feel especially the younger generation who are mixing with more and more ethnic groups , are very accepting and loving to all
