There is a daisy like plant called Pyrethrin or painted daisy that can be made into an insecticide. Theres also Rotenone, which is a chemical found in several plants including mullein seeds. Rotenone is also an insecticide. Wood ashes will alkalize the soil and coffee grounds will acidify the soil. Pyrethrin, rotenone, wood ashes, and coffee grounds are all acceptable in organic growing.
