Recently, me and my workmates went to a clay pigeon shooting range, it was one of the many activities which we participated in there. One I took the loaded gun in hand, and aimed my shootgun at the disks zooming off into the air, I could familiarize myself with alot of 1st Person Shooter games and think like I was playing a game. In the end I managed 8/10 clay pigeons, taking into account I have never even held a gun in my life let alone fire one. So do you think this was pot luck? Or do you believe playing games does have advantages that can be taken into real life circumstances. And have you had any familiar experiances?

Thank You.

Oh yeah, i completely agree with you on that one. I had a similar experience with one of those gun-shooting-contest thingys at carnivals (um, im sorry, im not sure what you call them lol ), and i also wondered whether it was cuz i enjoy playin alota first person shooter games, or if it was just pot luck. Im not really sure, but either way i do think that there are alot of advantages to playin video games. Not just the games that are supposed to help you spell better or think faster, but even the fun stuff, that seemly has no other purpose than to entertain the player. Its kind of like an automatic, fun way of learning. You dont even realize what you´ve learned until you come across a similar situation in life..so yeah, i think its pretty cool. :)

The thing is this- There is no way to tell whether the games helped you out or not since some people are just naturally good shooters.

Sure they both test your hand/eye coordination. 8/10 is good for a beginner!

Yes, playing video games can increase your hand eye coordination.
However, it does serious damage to your sex life.
