Creating shows on line or "free", making the market/audience for that particular program, research a bit proving it's capabilities, and then selling the show to the bigger companies. It's like the breeding ground for bad shows or reality TV!! Please smother big brother!!!

They generate most of their revenues from advertising. However in most cases this is not enough. As most of these free TV stations are public service broadcasters, they are either heavily exempted from taxes or fully funded by governments. In the former case they also rely on public donations.

Advertizments cover the cost's thats why you get better programming on them, the ones you pay for have less available money and just repeat repeat repeat.
