Get over yourself. If Life sucks so much, quit your job sell everything and move away ro a new country or city. Nothing is worth killing yourself over.

At least you are strong enough to post your question here. I give you my thumbs up.

I have a friend too suffer from this illness. She did not acknowledge that she had it and refused any advise from her family. It was after years of the thoughts of committing suicide that she started to be awakened. She finally come to her senses and consulted a physiatrist (I mean mental doctors if wrong spellling). It was very effective. She was given some medicine which makes her "lazy" and she had to go there once a month for councelling. The expert there would advice he what to do or not to do. She recovers gradually -- at least no more thoughts of committing suicide.

So don't underestimate medications and treatment. You may end up in the grave if you don't start to do anything cos you are still mentally weak. You brother may be reacting differently to the medication but not all who take it react that way. Or he may at his worst stage of illness. So give yourself a survival chance. Don't give up. Let's cheer up. We are all on your side.

I always remember this verse "whether you are happy or sad, the earth is still turning. So why choose to be sad ???"

If I were you, I would really find someone that you can talk to and confide in. Nothing is that bad that you should consider taking your life for. Life is too precious, and you deserve to be here. Do you have a close friend or relative that could help you in this situation? Or is there a doctor you could talk with?? Try surrounding yourself with positive things and people. Maybe finding someone to talk to about this will help you get it all out there instead of keeping it bottled up inside, and that may help as well. I do hope you find peace with yourself and overcome this.

Please do this:
1. Take a few days off work.
2. List as many things as you can that are good about your life. Meditate on these a while.
3. Visit a hospital Emergency Room and find out what percentage of people there are in worse straits than you. Think about this.
4. Watch a little CNN and ask yourself how come you're not in Zimbabwe, Southern Lebanon, Iraq, etc.
5. Whisper a word of thanks to the GOD who made you. Believe He can heal you and let Him do just that.

all is not lost yet my dear! depression is a real illness indeed. he who disputes it is only because has never been in it. i can imagin how it feels with the nightmares and all the imaginations you can think of. i thought of suicide too. but i knew there was no way i could do that. that would not even solve the problem. that was when i got to know that two wrongs indeed dont make a right nor resolve a problem. i gathered the courage to open up to my bestfriend who opened her arms to receive me. she did everything to help me get over my nightmare. a mistake i did that caused the lost of my phone, her phone and my bothers phone. that must be more than what you are going through. be bold and open up to someone you feel trust and help and stop blaming yourself. may your brothers soul rest in peace.only do what he could not do and be happy. life has more for you than you think!DONT FORGET THIS! IF YOU COULD NOT STOP YOUR BROTHER, STOP YOURSELF!!!!!!! i will be glad to see you happy. if you dont mind, mail me updates on ridnella@yahoo.com. i wish you well!

first of all please try to harness/pin down the problem thatz affecting you.

if you cant please find help in your immediate circle of friends, share with your bets pal. Your friends will be able to guide you.

REMEMBER it is your life, not anybody else. So it is you who have to take the decision. Friends can only show you the way , you have to walk through it.

Death - it is not a solution for anything. it wont unplug your sorrows, it wont unplug pain.

Why don't people commit suicide when they are happy ?

be cool and wise.

Enjoy life whether its sorrow or happiness. A coin got 2 faces, head and the tail. Likewise life got 2 faces, good and bad, u throw bad away u will loose the good also.

take care

people are becoming more aware of depression as a common illness (here in the US, of all places, anyhow). if they're true friends, they won't leave you. try the old, "i know this depressed guy; what do you think about that?", routine to suss out their feelings. the fact is, they're your mates, now, while you're depressed - why would they leave, when you just give it a new name? try to see a professional, as well, if not for meds, than for someone who DOES understand, and won't leave you.

You'll need to contemplate what causes your depression. And try to talk to someone (I'll be glad to talk to you though) for you need to release whatever is in your mind and heart in order for you to feel better and to lighten your burden. You'll need to seek solutions to your problem. I believed God will not give us things that we cannot handle so it is just a matter on how you handle it.. Remember in every problem there's always a solution, just need to figure it out.
Hope to chat with you soon (if you like you can catch me in yahoo, msn or skype and my ID is cfinones )

you wont be able to overcome this thing if you yourself wont be comfortable. calm down... suicide is not the only way! think about it! you can still enjoy life and be happy if you wont think about bad stuffs! be positive. optimistic not pessimistic. if you say you can do it then you can. its not yet the end of the world and you can still do many things. talk to someone whom you can really trust and rely on. in the end, you'll learn to accept, then you can find solutions and after that, you'll learn to accept everything.smile...:)

and your friends will feel the same about you... true friends will want to support you, so tell the ones closest to you. Medication usually works, give it a try.
