Wow. What a cool question.

I understand this is just for fun, but it would probably depend on how long dinner was going to last, if I had to have them all over at the same time, if they all believed the identities of eachother without a doubt, etc.

I guess I would pick Jesus. Kevin Smith, John Shelby Spong, Robert Cross, Dana Owens (aka Queen Latifah), Mr. Bush, and either Robert Schuller, Pat Robertson (or two other powerful Christian figures). And of course, my wife (sorry, I know that's 9 but you added a family member so I thought I'd take the same liberty).

Dana Owens, Kevin Smith, Robert Cross (a close friend and minister who passed away from cancer several years ago) are strictly for my own amusement and to hopefully provide some relief from the heaviness of the others.

Jesus, John Shelby Spong, and my wife are both for my own enlightenment and for the greater good.

I have little in common with and probably would not at all enjoy the company Mr. Bush and the two Christan notables but I think it would be important for them to meet Jesus and get everything settled once and for all.

Now, the real question is, what you feed them or would you take them out to eat, and where?

I wouldn't stomach having a meal with a dead person, but I know what you intend to say.

The people I would invite would be my eight great-grandparents. This group includes a Civil War veteran, an immigrant from Canada who came from France as a young woman, an Irish immigrant, a Cherokee Indian, a railroad worker and two farmers.
Three of those folks were dead before I was born, and the rest died when I was a teenager. I would love for all of them to tell me about their lives, their hopes and dreams, stories about their children (my grandparents) and especially stories about their parents. I would love to bring them up to date on all the family happenings. This would certainly be a memorable dinner, and I would be sure to have a video camera!

My grandmother, my greatgrandfather Buck. (grandmothers father) I have heard MANY lovely funny stories about him.

My husbands grandparents and his 2 sisters. I have been with my husband for 10 years and I have never gotten to meet them in real life.

Jim Morrison.

A 13 year old version of myself. It would be nice to warn myself of empending doom.

For the other 2 i think that i would have to pick the creator of Barqs Rootbeer. And his grandson.
