Careful when getting more than one, they tend to fight. Don't use a wood shaving type bedding, they tend to cause resp. infections. Try a pelleted type like yesterdays news.

keep in mind that hamsters are nocturnal creatures. They make no noise, and the dwarf hamsters are incredibly small. They require some interest and cleansing their cages and feeding them is a could. in basic terms determine if it leaves the cage it rather is in a hamster ball. attempt including clean vegetables to their weight loss plan. they should not be dealt with too plenty.

A dwarf hamster? Thats so cute, you will save money on the cage size at least. Advice-when you go to knit the hamsters something because they will look cute in it don't buy too much wool because they will not need much.

dwarf hamsters can have nasty tempers and bite a lot, just make sure you can hold the ones at the pet store without them being too aggressive. Also, they tend to be kind of territorial, so they might not get along very well together if you get two.

omg no. dont get a dwarf hamster those things are vicious and mean and nasty! i would prefer a teddy bear hamster or a gerbil- gerbils dont bite, they're cute and have beautiful fur! teddy bear hamsters have long fur and they love to be cuddled. i have four teddy bear hamsters- 15 baby teddy bear hamsters-omg i am going to die..... and i have 2 gerbils.! they make better pets than dwarf hamsters. trust me, i had one before and thank god it got wet tail deasease and died, those things, i would kill them all! they bite u all the time!

my sister got a dwarf hamster when she was 7 and she called it sally, she was the sweetie, she would only bite if your hands smell of food, so always make sure you wash your hands after you have had food, just in case,

They are cute but tend to bite more than regular hamsters. With hamsters, it is better to keep them by themselves as the squabble and fight.

Please realize they are considered to be nocturnal animals so maybe putting them in a room away from where you sleep at night is a good idea. Otherwise, have fun with your new pets.

don't use cedar bedding. It will turn their fur red.
