expose yourself to a variety of stimuli....read a LOT -as many different genres as you can...listen to music....again, as many different types....go to the Art museum,,,,try sculpting/painting something yourself....
Go to church -if that is a meaningful experience for you....but not during a service...when you can be [nearly] alone with your thoughts
Read manuals on home repairs...or on electrical wiring or on plumbing....just to have some purely "mechanical" insights
In short,,,you have to broaden your awareness of "reality" before you can jump into a creative mind set....the more references that you can draw upon...the better....
Allow yourself to not just think "out side the box" but with NO box at all...don't stifle yourself...when you have an inspiration,,,go with the flow...it may not lead you to where you thought you were going ....but the journey IS the inspiration
Some claim that drugs can shorten the way....I have not found this to be true for me....this is a personal choice...

Most people do a lot of drugs to tap into their "creative" enegry.
Or, you can go the old fashioned route, and just try. If you want to be a writer, sit and write. If you want to be a musician, play. I think in reality people probably have limits on their creativy, but a person can never find them unless they start doing it.

creativity can a born-talent. Even the creative writers will not be able to explain this properly, or even if somebody explains abt it, nothing can be inferred correctly. It is always compared with day-dreaming. Read 'Creativity and day-dreamers' by Sigmund Freud. U will know lot abt this.

Mainly by learning to think about everything in an off-the-wall way. Just ask yourself sometime, for example, what IS a tree really for? Who actually put it there? Could it be an alien life form sent to spy on the human race? Just let wild thoughts race through your brain, and you will be surprised.

They don't. You either are a creative person or you are not. You cannot "get" creativity. It's with you or it isn't.
