each time I hear accounts of the students involved they are always honor roll students, always ones every one like. but never are they spoken of as hell raisers, bulleys, ones that have been suspended often, rebellious to authority. It seems that only these well liked scholarly ones are the only ones that be involved in car accidents wearing no seatbelts. For once I like to hear of some that fit that type involved in such accidents.

Maybe the bad students are getting killed in car accidents and it doesn't make the news.
But you know, I know heaps of teenagers who were killed in car accidents, and they all WERE good students, star athletes and great kids all round.
Maybe the good really do die young???

Because the media likes to twist everything around. Don't you think its bad enough for the family to be coping with a death, than having people writing hate mails cause thjey found out about what a loser the person was. Not gonna happen. Remember the bad die young too!

Yes often Honor students & the like die and of course the media plays up the tragedy, but just as quickly the media LOVES to scream obsenities at the dead when they are 'punks' racing their cars & drinking. Perhaps you only pay attention when the media mentions honor students?

Because Honor-Role students think too much and tend to
focus just on what is right in front of them.
And the "bad students" are only bad because they dont focus on their work,
because they are looking at everything around them.
Therefore they are more aware of their surroundings while driving.
Lack of focus - Its not just a way of life - Its a way to preserve it.

Journalists seem to like to spice some stories up to make them seem sadder. A classmate of mine died in an accident and he was a trouble maker and not involved in anything, and they made him seem like an amazing kid who was involved in sports and such. Who knows, maybe it was just that one time that it happened...
