I could be so much more successful than I am right now if I could bring myself to lie, cheat and steal. But, I'd rather be poorer and sleep better at night! Plus, the universe always sorts these things out in the long run!

hopefully, I will just be good enough to be successful without having to resort to any of those things. a little lying is probably necessary in the business world. I mean, you can't very well answer a customers comment of "I'm sorry to bother you" with "yeah, I'm busy, what to you want???".. lol you have to say, "You are not bothering me" even if they are. so yes, I guess to answer your question, I would lie, but I don't think I would cheat or steal. I like to win, but only if I know I've truly won....

If you lie, cheat or steal you are not really successful at what you are attempting to accomplish. You don't truly get the satisfaction of the job well done.

No. Not only because of karma or someone finding out you have skeletons in the closet, but also how could you ever be proud of what you've done? You didn't do what should be done to be successful, which is work hard, so how could you ever feel you accomplished anything? You'd never know.

Sounds familiar.
You left out the word "kill".
It comes from the movie "Gone with the Wind".
Scarlet O'Hara finds herself lost in the plantation she grew up in.
Everything around her was destroyed,so she picks herself up and talks to God.
"If I have to lie, steal, cheat or kill, as God is my witness, I'll never be hungry again".
Haven't we all visited that part of living.
If you haven't, you didn't live a full life.

Well...I am going to be an attorney.
It depends on how you define "lie, cheat and steal".

That would not make me successful. It would make me a liar, cheater, and a thief.
Our efforts make our successes. Turning our weaknesses into strengths make our successes. Our ability to fail and try again yet even harder make our successes. Our ability to listen make our successes. Our ability to communicate, compromise, and commit- make our successes. Others would notice this devotion and with that honor and respect would earn our successful status.

No, it's not worth it, those people are never really happy. If they were why do their families fall apart and they drink or do drugs?
