Why do you not read a daily newspaper from the U.S.? Why do you not listen to talk radio? Why do you not know that all nations have secure borders except for the U.S.? Why do you not know the meaning of the word, sovereignty? Why do you know nothing of the fatal consequences for a nation without secure borders? Your question is juvenile.
Visit any major U.S. city and view the destruction of its economy, culture, educational system, medical care facilities and social services. Inquire of law enforcement the number of gangs, their ethnic makeup and country of origin. If in Los Angeles ask the Chief of Police about Special Order 40 and get a chill down your spine. While there, notice the decay that permeates a one-time great city now reduced to third world standards. Ask Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa why he keeps smiling while this "sanctuary city" continues to greet Mexico's poorest, least educated, and illiterate insurgents, amongst them a hoard of criminals here to rape, pillage and murder. Read of the crimes committed each day in the cities and notice the surnames of the suspects. And listen to the vile rhetoric of the Latino Activists and you will hear racism like it has rarely been heard. And all the while the great majority of our elected officials fiddle. Frightened out of their power mongering gourds.
Notice that common, everyday American Citizens are at the borders now building fences and putting their bodies between us and the murderous cartels. They call themselves Minutemen, an allusion to an earlier time when the citizenry had to take arms and do what the Federal Government would not do. These few heroes over the past two years have awakened an enlightened citizenry and embarrassed an impotent, self-serving Federal, State and Local government body. Pathetic and deserving of a massive layoff.
A democracy has never survived pluralism amongst its populace. If America is doomed, God help us all.

Some issues (like landscape planning) are better solved at a local level. In the Soviet Union, the central directory of food industry in Moscow had to approve it before a baker in Vladivostok could change his recipe for cake chream. This was not very efficient.
Bureaucrats in Florida don't need expertise in arctic wildlife management. Bureaucrats in Alaska can function well without knowledge of the Spanish language. Bureaucrats in Arizona don't need to know about how to police a seaport. Bureaucrats in D.C. need to know about everything and need information flow with all corners of the country. This is expensive and sometimes plain ineffective.
But as we exceedingly find our social networks, business partners etc. on the Internet, more and more issues have to be resolved at a national or even international level. In year 2100 I don't think regional borders, or national border for that matter, will have the same importance as they have today.

We do require borders so that people of other countries don't intrude into our country.By borders we can even stop the possibility of wars.

Because since the beginning of mankind people wanted to let everyone know what belonged to them. It's also the main excuse for wars and feuds.
