I'm from New Orleans and the correct way to say it in North Louisiana is "PUH CAHN" south louisiana "Pee Con or pee cahn"

but never ever ever ever ever "pee can"

growing up in south carolina i pronounced it "pee can" then after moving to texas i've changed to "pe cahn"...don't ask me why...because everyone here says "pee can".

Frankly is depends on what part of the country you, and your parents, are from. They say pee can in the south and pickahn in the north generally.
