If everyone is really good friends and is old enough to make intelligent decisions, than sure. Too late to change it anyway right? It wouldn't be my choice, but I have a pretty conservative position on marriage. I want to do it once and make it last a lifetime. But I do understand the situation, being in an international relationship myself. Marriage can solve a lot of issues. Good luck to all involved.

If your friend is coming here to be an American of course support them. Who knows they might even find happyness this way. If it's a dodge just to work in the US I'd advise opposing it. The ending will not be good for any involved. The money won't be as good as imagioned. The cultural clash will be stress, then the potential legal problems even if they never materialize will haunt them for years. In the end, lots of money and effort spent and the imigrant still winds up heading back to country of origion US citizen or not.

If they're both perfectly fine with it, then I don't see why you shouldn't support them. After all, you're not the one who had to make that commitment. Your friend did. Then again, you don't have to support them if you don't wanna. The way I see it, though, you get to be with both of them longer, so it's all good unless you're one of THOSE people who thinks that marriage is a sacred union blablabla... or unless you're in love with one of them. *shrugs*

If she married him just so he could come to the US, then that's illegal. So, if you want to support someone's illegal actions, go ahead.
