The Red Balloon. The star was a red balloon, the camera followed it just everywhere.

Un Chien Andalou. Surrealist film by Luis Bunuell. The razor blade slicing through the eyeball is quite a shocker.

The strange French film that sticks in my mind was a black comedy with almost no dialogue called Themroc about a man who has a breakdown, trashes his flat and goes wild, eventually turning to cannibalism. Much funnier than my description, if you are not squeamish.

"Ronin" , "Leon, the Professional", Fantomas, "Where did the 7-th division disapeared?", Luis de FUmmes just kills me, and Jean Reno is one nasty dude. I can also add the original trilogy of Taxi, a french action movie, these movies are not weird but they are way above US productions, with smaller budgets than the US ones. Vive le France! (and I'm not french).

I've only seen two French films, and to be honest, they may have been Canadien. Nonetheless, The Triplets of Bellville, and the Dinner game are the two I have seen, and I loved them both lol

The house is really similar, about a woman who tries suicide contained in the house she met including her married lover , even with the undeniable fact that it seems to be the house the guy borrowed from his assistant. it really is a Christmas action picture. A romantic comedy.... i wager I wasn't a lot help. i wish you locate it quickly.

I have to say it's "Combien tu m' aimes?" a film starring Monica Bellucci and Gerard Depardieu. The end was very confusing. I thought there were many alternate endings, to be honest.

Well, The City of the Lost Children is weird and fantastic.
I also say one, the name of which I cannot recall, about a gril wandering Paris looking for a lost cat.
