Ok. Seems like your problem stems from you not being sure of yourself. I think when a person procrastinates it is usually a sure sign of insecurity. You are going to have to start making a final decision on whatever you are considering. Nothing ever gets done in just the thinking stage. You don't need to have twenty five thoughts on the subject, Two will probably do just fine. Stop being a worry wart believing the decision you make is the wrong one. I have had situations where my first thought is almost always the right answer. Look in the mirror, and say I am confidant this is the right choice. Believe me it works.

Don't fall into the "it's too soon to start on this" trap - better to have something done early than at the last minute.

Break large projects into smaller, more manageable ones. For example, instead of cleaning out the whole garage, deal with sorting one day, trash removal the next day, donating stuff the third day, and so on.

As someone has mentioned, reward yourself along the way.

Remember to strive for excellence, NOT perfection. A lot of procrastination stems from perfectionism - don't make more out of a task than there needs to be.

Watch what you agree to do in the first place. If you find yourself putting things off, sometimes it's because you agreed to do it when you didn't really have to. Budget your time wisely, and that means saying no sometimes.

Hope this helps :-)

When you are home, turn off the TV, radio. CD player, and the computer, and don't answer the phone. Then make a list of everything you need to do at home. Decide how many items you will be able to do that day and do them. Cross them off the list. Do that every day. Until the allotted items are done, don't turn on any of the aforesaid items. If you are talking about work, make that same list and do the various items without stopping to talk to co-workers, make personal calls or any other distractions. You will get a real sense of pride when you start getting your life in order.

Sit in a corner and think what you want to do first and plan how'd you want it done. Make your imagination work and foresee the outcome of what you plan to do. Once a plan is finalized, begin deciding when you want to commence it. Best decision is to perform it the following day.

Uh... wait a minute... le'me read the question again lol.

So am I ! What I do is reward myself after I accomplish something,
I get things done when I look foward to something.
example: I start my history project early, so my reward would be watching a favorite movie and relaxing

Remind yourself of how important the aim is. For example, if you gotta draft a presentation for an interview at Microsoft, say to yourself: "if I'm only this presentation away from Microsoft, I'm gonna finish it at once". Apply this principle to everything.

Sometimes procrasinating is best. You learn to think fast and problem solve quick.

But to change, you have to really want to. When you are given a job assignment, start on it right away.

Not, "I'll do it later." "I have tomorrow." "It's not due till next week. I have the whole weekend."
