there is an actuator on the front axel of your pick up in about the middle on top torwards the the rear in has a snap plug for the wire hook up and it twists in to place you can test it by unpluging it and removing it and run a pos+ wire to one wire a a negative to the other from your battery if the rod doesn't push out switcah wire positions try again if still notting it's bad they cost about $100.00 new

There is an electically engaged solinoid in the front pumpkin. Make sure that you are getting 12 VDC to this. There is also a switch on the transfer case. It is up to the top so you need to stretch a little to get at it. When the switch is out of the transfer case it is normally closed so that if you ohmed it out it would show zero ohms. When you press the little ball in it should go toward infinity. Also I have had to replace the connector at the rear switch on the transfer case. I had to get this through a deal. Can you get it into 4 wheel drive in 4 low? At times I have had to put it in 4 low and quickly pull it into 4 high. I hope that helps.

bleed the system of air, if it has a electric pump cycle the key off and on until you get fuel to the fuel rail. if mechanical loosen the injector nuts to allow the air to escape then crank for 15 seconds at a time wait a couple of minutes crank again as fuel starts coming out of the fuel lines where you loosened the nuts tighten that line and continue till you have about half of them bleed at some point it will start running and at that time stop the engine and tighten the rest of the nuts up and then fire it up let it run for a couple of minutes it should stay running at start to smooth out if not you may have injectors that are plugged, get get fuel running from lines first. If the truck has two fuel pumps one like a standard gm Pump then pull the Pump off of the side of the block and hold your finger over the suction side of the pump press the lever to get it to do the pumping action you should feel suction on your finger if not the primary pump is bad and needs to be replaced also check that the output line has air pressure coming out of it.next is the high pressure pump, check all that I have told you first if it does not run then you need to see a mechanic cause the secondary pump could be bad or I could of missed something like did you change the filter and things I can't tell but just typing and not looking. as they say pictures are worth a thousand words. good luck and hope this helps.
