I just dropped them in HD>Library>Fonts, does this mean I have installed them properly?

in the fonts book some of them have a dot icon next to them, does htis mean they are not properly activated?

Thank you for your advice!

When you download a font onto the desktop, double click the icon (or the downloaded folder, then icon). It will open up a window with the font in it, there is a button at the bottom right of this window that says install font - click it and font book automatically opens and installs the font.

You can delete the file icons that are now sitting on your desktop, as the required files are installed into your font folder.

Use Font book to install and validate, all located under the file menu. Let Font book put them in the proper location by adding tio loibrary from the cd or wherever you have them.

My office folder has a seperate fonts folder. Until you asked I had never noticed. Thanks for that, if that isn't the problem they I'd try;

HD-Sysytem-Library-Fonts

I also use a MAC, Have done for years, Never breaks.
Love them, Hate XP and PCs in general.

The people who own them seem to think you need a new Computer because of a Font confliction

Honestly, you are using a MAC where most of the world uses A PC. I have used Mac, and I also have PC. Macs are very good at doing what they do, but very bad at doing anything other than they some out of the box doing. Listen, why not get with the rest of the world and buy a PC?
