I notice that in some countries, like Germany, many people under 40 wear glasses for farsightedness. In the USA it's more common to see people wearing glasses for far away/nearsightedness. Just curious. Hope someone can help.

The Europe people are so farsighted, they often walk in a line and play, follow the leader. When you shop in one of their stores, they stand next to you, assuring they can see you when you leave. Some of them touch Americans to be sure they treat them with respect. I don't like the patting part; it makes me think I am being frisked.

Or it could be that people have better access to health care. There are tons of people in the US who cannot afford eye care or glasses.
