I dislike Bush myself, but anyone who understands how our government works should know that Bush really has very few powers and does little to nothing as far as the running of the country goes-so why do people single him out instead of just bashing the system-which is truly at fault?

I like Bush but I do agree with you. Who ever is in office at the time of the incident will carry the burden of being the scape goat. People have to have someone to blame!

I think because he was the one who made Iraq happen. Also by saying things like "I don't think about Bin Laden, I could care less about him" that sends a message that he doesn't care about the real culprit behind 9/11. I mean he went after Saddam and not much after Bin Laden. Plus 9/11 happened on Bush's watch. He also ignored the Presidential Daily Brief which said on the front "Bin Laden Determined To Strike U.S".

Also him and Cheney seemed to be caught lying alot about the reason we need to go into Iraq. And the fact that Dick Cheney's Halliburton is price fixing things to our own military such as food and fuel. Then the fact that Cheney has made over $8 million dollars from Halliburton since the Iraq war doesn't help.

And Bush gave a contract to a fire fighting firm for Iraq that he had investments in. Plus the Carlyle Group has made a fortune in Iraq. Bush happens to have investments in that group (as with the Bin Ladens) Look at the message all of this sends.

And it really doesn't help that since Bush and Cheney are oil guys, gas prices have gone through the roof. That and the fact we are at war with an oil rich country. Doesn't most of this sound just a little crooked?

But you know what most nutcase conservatives would say, "it's Clinton's fault".

Bush could be a scapegoat. But if he is, then i feel sorry for the guy. If there ever was a president that would stand up to whoever he is a scapegoat for, then I wish it would be Dub ya. But I don't think being the son of a former president is helping.

What I don't like about him is that he lies and thinks he is above the law. Our constitution prevents any branch of government to be above the law.

He aint a scapegoat he's just a politician. Bush is caught in the middle of catch 21 in Iraq, everythings in place to sign over to NWO, bring the troops home and he's too chicken to do tell anyone, but really, would you want to address the public with that speech and poduce chaos? Then, you need martial law, its a big mess and no one wants to clean it up.

Because its his administration and he is ultimately responsible for what it represents. And now - a little Bush bashing..................
Its time to send "Wid Bill" Bush back to the ranch and his sidekick "Canonball Blair". Their paid gunslinger "Blackbart" Olmert needs to also get out of town!

"Scapegoat" isn't quite the word I would use. Try "puppet" as in, "Puppet of the NeoCon Agenda", or, even better, "Puppet for Daddy Bush, patriarch of one of the biggest oil families in the U.S."
