The answer is obviously no, so why do you care so much about what two consenting adults do?

Morality is not a concrete thing-so don't base your argument on that. Also-it's scientific fact that homosexuals are BORN, not made. It's not about tolerance, it's just acceptance of another slice of humanity. We don't tolerate people with down's syndrome, we accept them-as we do with every other "common" mutation.

Marriage has been around a whole hell of a lot longer than christianity or even judaism, so don't pull the "god's sacred sacrament" card, because it doesn't fly. Two consenting adult males in a relationship are no more likely to spread a disease then two randomly selected consenting heterosexuals. Counseling is a joke of a profession to begin with, so definitely don't use that. Counseling works for certain things, but the person would have been better off going to a friend or family member than a paid professional. I would have sent both of these to the respective persons they concern, but they obviously don't want to be contacted about their answers.

Because the politicians don't want to fix real problems, so they have to make them up. Also the republican party gets lots of money from right-wing religious groups.

Well since you've brought up the topic of paying bills... 1. Two consenting adults in a Unnatural relationships is a breeding ground for diseases that causes an added burden on our Medical community. 2. Two consenting adults who pursue having children because of their "marriage" doesn't end well. Because over 80% of all same sex relationship DON'T last. Where do the children go then? State run foster homes bear the brunt. 3. Two consenting adults in a same sex relationship is clearly a sign of an unstable mentality. Why? Because it does NOT happen in nature. You don't see male bears with male bears. You don't even see male dogs with other dogs...though sometimes they may pretend. You don't see female cardinals with female bluebirds or any other living animal with a different sex animal. Without opposite sex procreation ceases to exist. Therefore, no life...no continuation of life. Hence, an unstable mentality...which leads to of course further emotional problems and hours upon hours of counseling (do the research, enhance your brain see if I'm right). I know I'm a professional counselor. So we have an added burden on healthcare, an added burden (often) on staterun child services, and an added burden on State and Federal run counseling services...all of which increase the prices I pay for these services. So does it affect my ability to pay my bills....ABSOLUTELY. Three reasons that I believe you are wrong in your "question" or should we say hate statement. Read something....learn something.....teach someone else.

i do not comprehend how old you adult adult males are, even with the undeniable fact that when you're youthful and he's basically initiating out in his occupation, the money will come. American custom dictates that the brides mum and dad are to blame for the marriage expenditures. i do not comprehend why you sense the way you sense, or what your way of existence is, is he lazy, is he no longer sturdy at his job? are you able to no longer artwork, I do and help with expenditures in our domicile and it fairly works out quite properly. in case you want to no longer artwork and make funds, in case you want to sit down down through and watch you husband bypass off into the international and war to assist you day in and outing and by no skill make contributions at the same time as he needs help, i imagine that he might want to do more desirable helpful. when you're dedicated to a wedding ceremony and may want to do each little thing you may to make your lives at the same time more desirable gentle, then that could want to be a sturdy theory. lady fought perplexing to earn the right to artwork, this became a wrestle on your freedom and Independence, that could want to really help you from growing stuck in circumstances and having very restricted concepts. i'm grateful for the right to artwork, i'm grateful to have a husband who i love to prepare dinner and sparkling for, who also enables around the domicile without a grudge. To me this is a modern-day marriage.

The same way courts cannot baptize persons, or give communion according to spiritual laws--they can imitate or invent something similar. Marriages, like Baptism, like communion are spiritual sacraments (with two exceptions: marriage and Baptism are registered and recorded in the court of law). Since no-entity other than God's agency can initiate a spiritually acceptable sacrament, whether marriage, communion or baptism--any carnal entity that does such is mocking God's laws and even though the union might be recognized for that entity's purposes--the event is not acceptable to God and therefore not binding. What churches need to do is lobby for pass universally acceptable laws that only ordained ministers determine who is eligible to receive sacraments and try to get legislation passed in all courts to that effect and to secure copyrights for God's holy instruments. That way, no pagan entity can imitate God's sacraments and whatever courts want to imitate they will have to call by different names. Also any pagan that penetrates God's house and wants to compromise God's teachings that says not one "Tittle" shall be changed--kick out that assembly. God chastens those He loves. He never changed His laws for Israel, nor David nor Moses, whom He loved and loves--which pagan thinks that he or she can change God's laws without punishment? If God's laws are too harsh, then leave them alone and do your own thing to your own detriment.
Boaz.
P.S--Homosexuality and lesbianism--other than addiction--are two sets of evil spirits whose physical traits manifest for even the carnal persons to see. The spiritual personality of the spirit that lived in a grandfather or former father manifests in a daughter or granddaughter and they crave for the things their dead parents. Similarly with the spirits that formerly dwelt in the mother or grandmother. Those spirits proliferate very easily because spirits feed on body fluids spilled disobediently. By the way--Aids is a spiritually-induced disease and so are many types of so-called incurable diseases.

If people are not comfortable about same sex marriages (or homosexuality in general) that's their problem.

I think every country (or State) should decide for themselves if they want to legalize same sex marriages. Same sex marriages have been legal in my country for quite some time and Armageddon has still not come upon us.

In fact a lot of people were uncomfortable about it in the beginning, but now nobody cares anymore. People have taxes and mortgages to pay, kids to raise and are too busy wity REAL problems instead of imaginary ones.

Most of the people I've spoken to who are against gay marriage say it's just one step closer to forcing tolerance onto society and will teach their children that being homosexual is okay. I guess I missed the memo saying tolerance is a bad thing.

Why does any couple need a license, a piece of paper, from the government recognizing their marriage?

They don't! Marriage is just people who love each other living together.

Gay couples do live together!

The government has not outlawed that.

What the government has done is given special priveleges to straight couples. And giving priveleges to any group of people is contrary to what this country is about.

"The policy of the American government is to leave their citizens free, neither restraining nor aiding them in their pursuits." – Thomas Jefferson

The question should not be "why are the priveleges of marriage being denied to gay couples?"

The question should be "why is any couple getting priveleges?"

Why is government aiding straight couples in their pursuit of holy matrimony?

Whether homosexuality is a genetic condition or a choice is irrelevant.

Born huh.

Ok, so are alcoholics and wife beaters. Yes, they have found the genes for those also.

Do we now have to openly accept their actions too? Drunk driving needs to be legalized as it would be infringing on their "natural urges". It's ok for the husband to beat your sister, mother, cousin...

The scientists know that certain types of mass murders and rapists are born with a urge to commit those acts. Do we now have to allow them to kill and rape too?

Where do we draw the line?

I don't and I don't understand why people have to be in everyone elses business. Live and let live. If you don't like gay marriage, don't be in one. So what if its wrong just because its "always" been wrong? Times change and laws can change. Instead of teaching their children to hate others they need to teach their children to be tolerant of other people. Seeing gay people is not going to turn them gay.
