well , maybe they're just more comfortable showing it...When I grew up any behaviour like that and I could easily have been beaten to death..I'm not kidding......More power to these kids for living the lives they want and being who they are.

Although some gays do dress to give an indication of their sexual preference, you can't go by that completely. What you have described doesn't in any way prove to me the children you saw were gay. (In our day, we might have thought such dress was very gender-inappropriate, but that's not what they think today.) Having said that, back to your questions: I think society and the school systems are much more accepting of children's emerging sexuality (and orientations) than they were years ago. In my day, I can remember one boy in our whole high school who came out as homosexual. No one else in his or her right mind at that time would think of doing such a thing. It would have been socially unacceptable. A gay or bi person just got by until they were out of high school.

are u sure they were boys? maybe it was done as a prank or a joke. or maybe they feel they are girls trapped in a boys body. anything is possible. but yes gays are getting younger and younger, so it seems. the younger generations are realizing more and more what being gay is and what it means, they are acknowledging that they are straight or gay much earlier on than most people do or did in the past.

Because of extremists of feminism and a few other groups, gender roles have been blurred and now tested. More parents are allowing their children to dress anyway they wish regardless of their sex. Boys in dresses and girls in boy clothes aren't all necessarily gay or bi or sexually confused, some are simply dressing the way they desire. In some cases, however, they dress that way because their mothers or fathers pursuaded them into it to prove their own personal points to society and themselves.
I agree that people should be able to dress feminine or masculine if they wish, but it shouldn't be forced on them. A parent shouldn't persuade their son to dress like a girl anymore than they should pursuade him to dress like a boy. He should be able to choose it freely without any persuasion. that way, he or she would really be making there own decisions on wardrobes.

Yes it does seem like they're coming out very young these days.
I was shocked to read questions about coming out by kids that are 11, 12 and 13!
When I was that age I was playing with my army men and tonka trucks.
Yes, I'm a gay guy that played with trucks and army men.
It can happen.

As the predjudice against gays starts to subside, more and more young gay people are less ashamed and frightened to admit their sexual preference. Therefore, you see more and more of them as time goes by. There isnt a higher proportion of gays to straights now then in the past, its just that more of them are admitting it now.
P.S The styles of clothing you describe have NOTHING to do with being gay neccessarily. It's just a style of dressing. As for the boys in dresses in church, they may be transvestites. MOST transvestites are STRAIGHT, not gay.

Because it is more socially acceptable and their families are accepting of their sexuality which is a great thing. However what you are talking about is really odd. I was the token gay - and the only time I wore heels was at the end of the year concert.

i agree with this even though i may sound like a hypocrite. i feel that Young's as we was called, has no business thinking about love let alone being gay. i feel that they feel its just a style all of a sudden instead of being true to what matters deep down inside. i feel that this confusion will clear itself up wither in favor or not.

People are just realizing at a younger age that self-expression is ok and not nearly as likely to get them killed as it was when I was in high school.
