Seriously, I thought conservatives were supposed to be the financially minded politicians, but all Bush has done since he's been in office is spend with reckless abandon. Calling Bush a conservative is like calling Clinton a Liberal.

Exactly.

When Reagan and Poppa Bush left office, we were a whopping $1 trillion in debt, most of which was in American bonds owned by Red China, sold exclusively by Reagan/Bush One. When Clinton paid the money back, he was called a commie sympathizer for dealing with the red Chinese. LOL!!!!

Now we're $9 trillion in debt, nearly all of which was borrowed from Red China by this misadministration. So who do you think will be the Scapegoat/Patsy this time?

Better name about the next ten. It will take at least that long.

If Bush and Cheney are conservative, I'd really hate to ever know a phucquing waste...

Disclaimer: I am not a democrat. I vote for a sane third party.

Political stances clearly have to measured on multiple axes. A politician can be fiscally liberal and socially conservative.

However in Bush's case, it's more a case of political priorities. Fiscal conservatism takes a backseat to his ridiculous international agenda.

How can we call him a conservative when we're in the middle of WW3 and hes doing a piss poor job of informing the public of major changes to come? The economic crisis hasn't even started.

Well he is, he conservatively gave it all to the Republicans and left out the rest of the country! That is pretty conservative, especially when it is my money he gives away, and the rich scream "wealth redistribution" if they have to pay anything!! We have had wealth redistribution for years, only it is from the poor to give to the rich!

They think someday my money will trickle back to me!! I won't hold my breath! Ask David Stockman if it works?

The republicans are no longer fiscally conservative. (They may be relative to the democrats but the propensity to overspend is so similar we can put them in the same camp.) Bush would be considered socially conservative so technically he can still call himself "conservative".

I agree with your last line...unless you are talking about Billary. She sure ain't no Bill!
