Where to begin: if you look online you can find a Xbox 360 bundle with a $3,000 flat screen included.... but the PS3 will not have a HDTV with it anyway so I don't know what you're gripe is.

And having 7 controllers? Who wants 1/7 of a screen to play split-screen multiplayer on? Who has room for 7 people to crowd around a TV (even with 2 TV's it's gonna be hard to see).

And about Halo 3, the multiplayer of Halo is why you get it: the campaigns were good and all but playing over Xbox live is where the real fun is.

Get a 360 and don't wait for the PS3 which is basically the same thing, made by Sony, and has a fancy but irrelevant Blu-Ray player (how many Blu Ray disks do you own vs how many regular DVD's do you have??)

The Xbox 360 has a external HD-DVD player not HDTV. It will come later but why buy one right away? HD-DVD movies will cost ya 29.99 -39.99 $ So I suggest buying games for it first and then when you have the money get the HD-DVD player. Microsoft allows choice, thats why PS3 is very expensive because you have no choice but to purchase it with all its expensive hardware.

here is a side by side comparison as of yet Sony plays PS1,PS2, and blu ray dvd's note the different types of disks sony play compared to 360 contrary to one above the blu ray and the games will render full 1080p. and free online play. bottom line there is alot more variety in titles as well as full HD graphics. i have my credit card ready for it....
