Check out the book "Ghost" by Katharine Ramsland. She's an investigative reporter who followed several groups of ghost-hunters and presents a wonderfully unbiased statement of facts. The book includes a number of famous EVP cases in her research, including cases where EVP researches had died and were later picked up on EVP giving clear instructions to their former research partners!
