I went up north with my family and brought my 6 month old son.
It was a big family get together and my cousin who can't have children was there. There is some jealousy there I think and my parenting skills were scrutinized the entire time by everyone.

Like what about your parenting skills? What would make them do that? All because your cousin can't have children? There's got to be more to it then that. I mean the whole family?

I wouldnt worry about them, no matter how good a mother is to their child(ren), family members (hell, anyone) always pipes in with the "You're not doing this (or that, or that) right."
As long as your son is a happy, healthy child, just tell them something like "Thanks for the advice, however, this is how I've decided to parent my child."
My parenting style is concidered Attachment Parenting and not everyone gets what its about. (see link, more info on AP there) My hubby's parents were at odds with me at first but have since given up on trying to pile advice on me, they just enjoy their grandbabies now.

I think you might be imagining things a bit, but anyway, if nothing was said to you, I wouldn't worry about it. Are you so immature that you worry that much about what others think and that they are allegedly "scrutinizing" you? You need to grow up a bit.

Hey...all I got to say is, if your son is healthy and happy then tell those haters to just leave you alone. Don't feel bad...get mad and get even by making sure you are the best mother anyone can possibly be for you son!!!

Na dont feel bad, they are just hurting and unfortunately they needed someone to lash out on and u were the recipient.. realize no one is perfect, and its not u, its them.. and eventually they will grow up and realize they need to stop lashing out at people..

no not at all...you are the parent and ultimately u are responsible for your child's well being. as long as all his needs are met and you are satisfied with your parenting, it shouldnt matter what others think..
