Old fashion is always looking strange to us, but if I compare photos and ads from the 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s etc. the 1970s seem to win when it comes to plain ugliness, and this almost seems to be a constant throughout time. Is there some objective ugliness in 70s design and if so, in which movements, ideas and philosophies does it originate it?

Some 70's fashions were ok, but its mostly the colors and some of the weird collars that make it look bad.

I really like the 70's fashion. I think the 80's is the one that should have been buried and forgotten forever, Hideous things were worn.... makes me shiver.
