My answer to your question would have to be " YES "!!
I won't go into detail as it would probably cause a riot ...but there is a divide, no matter what anyone says. No point in being politically correct here, I'm just being honest .

In my experience this is a foolish question because where I live in SE London there are people from around the world happily socialising together.
Many of my friends are from the 'north' and have lived here for many years. On the other hand I have two sisters who have lived in Northumberland and Yorkshire also for many years and are extremely happy there. They are now 'Northern' as a family we are from Kent. This difference in attitudes is like say the English hate the French - not true either!

Any divide exists mainly in the minds of older people. Nowadays people are from all over the place so the line is very blurred.

more like West, east, north and south. Yes we have different attitudes. West is more laidback, East is more uptight and unfriendly, South is like country hicks, and North is like arrogant.
