Definitely go to a chiropractor. Sounds like you've got a couple of things going on:
- posture the chiropractor can help fix any kinks in your bone structure from past bad posture and give you advice on how to improve
- stress: you really need to go for a deep tissue massage (or Swedish massage) for that one (much more enjoyable than the chiropractor but not a long-term fix).
Also - why are you stressed - maybe you need to work on that at the same time.

I have had some very bad experiences and some very good ones, so you should try to get a recommendation from people who have actually had good experiences locally. I have had very severe back pain and sciatica (pain all the way down the side of the leg starting at the lower back) and could hardly move.
My current chiropractor helped me resolve my problems and now helps to keep me pain free with a once a month visit. You should find one who uses acupressure and a variety of treatments, not one who just manipulates the spine.
The bad experiences came for me when chiropractors other than my current one used manipulation that seemed pretty violent and that made me feel battered instead of relief.
If none of your friends or people at work have used a chiropractor before, ask your doctor for a recommendation.

I have the same thing as you. I go to the chiropractor and he gets the knots out but a few days later they are back again.

nice hot bath, with ten drops of lavender oil in it,5 drops of tee tree oil,5 drops of eucalyptus.
or try mustard powder 3 tablespoons, keep away from eyes, and soak up to your neck, mustard helps with the warming of the cells just below the skin,(also good if you have a bad cold)which in turn helps with blood flow, which will gently warm your muscles, and could bring relief, but what have you to loose, whole treatment would be less than £10:00 and would last for a couple of months, give it a fair go tho, hope it helps good luck

BRILLIANT!
Go for it, you will not regret it!
I go to a Chiropractor from time to time, when needed, and it only ever needs one visit. You leave feeling like you have been caught under a stampeding Rhino, but next day you feel MARVELLOUS!

at best they are good, at worst they are terrible, have nursed someone in an acute psychiatric ward because of a chiropractor making things worse. be careful who you have, do some ground work first and look around.
